This is how Shannen Doherty would like to be buried
"I want [my remains] to be mixed with my dog, and I want it to be mixed with my dad. I do not want to be buried and not cremated," she explained.
Doherty added that the mixture of her ashes could be scattered in Malibu, California, where she and her father spent precious time. She also expressed her wish for her remains to be used as fertilizer to plant a tree.
In the same podcast episode, the actress also spoke about who she didn't want at her funeral. She emphasized that the funeral service should be a private affair.
"There's a lot of people that I think would show up that I don't want there," she explained. Doherty added that some would only appear because of outside pressure and for their image, which she wanted to avoid.
"I want my funeral to be like a love fest," she said. "I don't want people to be crying or people to privately be like, 'Thank God that bitch is dead now.'." It remains to be seen whether her wishes will be fulfilled.
Shannen Doherty passed away on Saturday, July 13, after a long battle with cancer. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, Doherty initially beat the disease, but it returned and eventually spread to her brain and bones. Despite her valiant fight, she could no longer overcome it.
