In her podcast 'Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty', the 52-year-old actress answered questions from fans. Among them were some about Michael Landon, who starred with her in 'Little House on the Prairie' and died of pancreatic cancer in 1991.
When asked by a fan whether she had favorite memories of her time on the show, the actress replied: "I got to work with Michael Landon - that's one of my all-time favorite memories."
Shannen Doherty, who starred as "Jenny Wilder" in the ninth and final season of 'Little House on the Prairie' at the age of eleven, said Landon's directing style helped her in her later career.

"He directed some of the episodes and wrote some of the episodes", says Shannen Doherty. She continues: "I just remember how he was as a director". She adds that the late actor "definitely helped me realize what kind of director I wanted to be".
In another part of the podcast, Shannen Doherty said that Michael Landon's advice went beyond her career. The then eleven-year-old learned an important lesson from Michael Landon. "He taught me to embrace my voice, to stand up for myself", says Shannen Doherty.
