On Monday morning, Shakira appeared in court in Barcelona. She was accused of evading 14.5 million euros in taxes between 2012 and 2014.
She faced a possible eight-year prison sentence. However, the singer denied everything.

Now, it seems she had a change of heart: Shakira reached a settlement shortly before the trial, admitting to tax evasion.
A payment of several million euros as back taxes had already been made.
