Sex Education's Asa Butterfield Has Been Acting Since He Was A Child
Born April 1st, 1997, to a British family in Islington, London, Asa Butterfield began acting very early on. Since the age of 7, Asa went to school at the Young Actors Theater Islington and he secured television roles as early as age 9! His breakout role was as the lead in the tragic WW2 film The Boy In The Striped Pajamas.
His impressive acting talents earned him main roles in countless films. He has received critical acclaim for his starring role as "Hugo" in the BBC film Hugo and "Ender" in the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card's Enders Game.
Now his focus is on the hit Netflix series Sex Education as the lead role of "Otis", the socially awkward teenager whose mother's open attitudes about sex may have hindered his own sexual growth.
