Selma Blair was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) nearly one year ago now and she has recently opened up about her illness, her beautiful eight-year-old son Arthur and a new project she has been working on. Since her diagnosis, she has been dealing with daily ups and downs not knowing what to expect from her mind or her body. She focuses most of her time and energy on her son.
Selma Blair's son Arthur says "Mommy's brave"
Blair said that she has been honest with her son Arthur about her new challenges and said that "he's had to endure a lot; he's seen a lot," mentioning that Arthur has seen her fall down the stairs or rush to the bathroom to get sick. Arthur doesn't view his mother's illness as weakness however, Selma said that "he says, 'Mommy's not sick. Mommy's brave.'" According to People Magazine.
Selma Blair: "One of my proudest moments"
Arthur even loves to have his mom come to his school because according to him, she makes the kids laugh and also answers all of their questions. This touched Selma deeply to know that she isn't an embarrassment to her son noting that knowing she's not "was one of my proudest moments." Selma also touched on the fact that Arthur's dad has been a huge help and that they are excellent co-parents.
Selma Blair: New series Another Life
Selma has her most recent project coming out on Netflix today, July 25th, which is a new series called Another Life. She notes "that living well for her son is the driving force in her life, and keeps her motivated in the best way" according to People Magazine. We wish her all the best.
