Selling Sunset's Christine Quinn (33) became a mother for the first time in May of this year. She and her husband Christian Richard, with whom she has been married since 2019, are the proud parents of their son Christian Georges Dumontet. But Christine didn't have it easy during her pregnancy, as she now reveals.
Just a week after giving birth, she went back to work and was in front of the camera to film the fourth season of the Netflix series. As she now confessed in an interview with ET Canada, shooting the fourth season was not easy for her because she suffered from severe postpartum depression.
Selling Sunset Star Christine Quinn had a dramatic birth
Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn explained in the interview, "I was pregnant on top of dealing with postpartum depression. This season was really difficult for me." Further revealing, "I did the best that I could with the emotions that I was dealing with at the time and that I'm still dealing with now."
The fourth season of Selling Sunset revolves around Christine's pregnancy and the birth of her son. In fact, the reality star received a lot of criticism for her pregnancy. Christine was even accused of faking it and that a surrogate mother had carried the baby. The reality star has since denied those rumours.
Even during the filming, there was editing, as she further revealed. Because of her pregnancy, she had concerns, which she discussed with both the producer of the show and her colleagues from the Oppenheim Group. Scenes of her were severely edited, which Christine called "extremely hurtful."
"My process was not easy by any means, and on TV, they make it look easy, but I was struggling in real life, I really was." In the show, Christine told her colleagues Vanessa Villela (43) and Amanza Smith about the dramatic birth. She revealed to them that her baby's umbilical cord was wrapped around him and "they said his heart rate's going now... All I hear is, "Emergency C-section, let's go, let's go!" with no epidural," Quinn said on the show.
In the meantime, Christine Quinn, who has the same ex-boyfriend as Selling Sunset co-star Emma Hernan, seems to be doing a bit better again. We wish nothing but the best for Christine!
