The young singer Selena Gomez is gushing about her new abode! Gomez is opening up about the move, and revealed the previous owner - rock legend Tom Petty - made the home historical.
With previous houseguests including some massive names in the music industry, Gomez is thrilled her new home holds that history, and a special past she can feel connected to!
Selena says her home is her haven
Selena Gomez opened up to Apple Music's New Music Daily chat, and talked about her most recent purchase! The 4.9 million dollar mansion in Encino, California once belonged to Tom Petty, a fact which Gomez says makes the home even more special to her.
"It’s not completely done but it already feels like such a haven," the singer revealed. "This is Tom Petty's house, so I always think about it."
Knowing previous houseguests were some of the biggest names in music history, Gomez says the house has "that energy", and being a musician herself, identifies with it.
"Knowing Stevie Nicks was here… there’s so much history, so when I’m in that zone, I feel like it’s very special," she said.
As for recording new music, the singer said, "The Zooming has been hard to record; it’s been very difficult, because I love being with people, and I love creating together."
"So that part, obviously, can’t happen right now, but it’s been so nice. It’s like my little lair," she added.
Gomez released her latest single with Blackpink, titled "Ice Cream" this past Thursday.
