Hotel employee surrenders to authorities
Reports indicate that Pereyra had been on the run following the accusations but has now surrendered with the assistance of his lawyer. Police had been searching for him at his residence on the outskirts of Buenos Aires after issuing an arrest warrant but were initially unable to locate him. In early January, Pereyra’s lawyer notified authorities that he would turn himself in to the police in Buenos Aires.
"After police raided his home on the outskirts of Buenos Aires with an arrest warrant on Friday, January 3. Authorities had also monitored a location where he was reportedly working, along with several other residential addresses, which intensified the pressure leading to his surrender," a source told the local newspaper 'La Nacion.'

Pereyra was suspended from his job after it was revealed that Liam Payne fell from his hotel balcony on October 16 following a drug and alcohol binge. Judge Laura Bruniard had issued an arrest warrant for him after he failed to meet a voluntary disclosure deadline. Prosecutors accuse him of selling cocaine to Payne on both October 15 and 16.
Another suspected drug dealer has been arrested and denies the allegations. In addition, a close friend of Payne and several hotel employees are under investigation for involuntary manslaughter. They are accused of ignoring Payne's deteriorating condition and placing him in a dangerous situation.
