About a year ago, actor Sam Lloyd received some very bad news: He was diagnosed with not only a brain tumor, but also with advanced lung cancer. After this shock, not much was heard from the actor who played the popular character "Ted" on Scrubs alongside Zach Braff.
Sam Lloyd gives health updates
By now, Sam Lloyd has resurfaced. After his horrible diagnosis, a Gofundme campaign was set up to raise money for the expensive cancer treatments, and Lloyd updated his supporters regularly on the campaign page about his health status.
His last message is from October 2019: "Yesterday I saw the Doc and had blood work, and a body CT scan. I'm glad to report that the two remaining spots in my lung and liver have shrunk even more and are barely there."
"The large tumor that was in my lung next to the aorta is gone! My blood work showed that everything is still totally normal."
The doctors saw no need for a head scan, since his headaches have also disappeared. "Everything is good!" It sounds like the former Scrubs cast member is doing amazing, just one year after the initial diagnosis.

Scrubs actor Sam Lloyd is doing theater again
And Sam Lloyd has already gotten back to acting again as well. He was most recently part of a production of Tenderly, The Rosemary Clooney Musical which ran from January 15 until February 2 2020 at the Playhouse on Park in Hartford, Connecticut.
Since the Gofundme campaign for Sam Lloyd was set up last year, over a $150,000 was raised in total. The initial goal of $100,000 was reached within the first two weeks!
