The legendary 1990's series Buffy the Vampire Slayer was such a success that last year, rumours about a possible new version of the show started to spread. Of course we would love to see the gorgeous Sarah Michelle Gellar as "Buffy" again, however, the 42-year-old actress recently announced she is not interested in a series reboot because "she’s not an adolescent anymore.”
During an interview with Buzzfeed, the All My Children star said that reboots are great tools to "introduce someone to a story that maybe they don’t know, to characters they don’t know." Taking into account that people still watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the idea of bringing up the show again just doesn't make sense to her, "I think the amazing thing about 'Buffy’s' legacy is that people are still watching and discovering and it still resonates," she said.
Sarah Michelle Gellar's daughter has very strong opinions
Since 2002 Gellar has been married to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. with whom she has a 10-year-old daughter named Charlotte - who apparently has quite strong opinions about her parents' early work: While she and the little Charlotte were watching television, I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) came on. It seemed like the 10-year-old was intrigued by the fact of seeing her parents on screen, but after Sarah told her she could -only- watch the first five minutes of the movie, she replied: "No, 'Harry Potter's on.'”
Gellar and Prinze Jr. actually met while filming I Know What You Did Last Summer. She is currently working on her television show Other People's Houses, while he recently appeared in the 2016 sitcom Bordertown. Charlotte has a 7-year-old brother named Rocky.
