Saoirse Ronan looked stunning on the Oscars red carpet last night! While her peplum dress definitely had people talking, the real star of the show when it came to Ronan's style was her new haircut... and it turns out that the fringe she sported is actually real! What's more, in an exclusive from Entertainment Tonight, her hairstylist Adir Abergel revealed the chop was a last-minute decision!

Ronan's stylist: reminded of a "modern-day Audrey Hepburn"

Saiorse Ronan's red carpet dress factored into the decision to give her bangs, according to Abergel. "When I saw [Saoirse's] dress I immediately thought of a modern day Audrey Hepburn," he revealed. "And I thought how do we actually kind of go there and make them, but make them a little bit cooler, a little bit more notched in? I approached her and she was totally into it".

Abergel has been the 25-year-old Ronan's hairstylist ever since she was only 8 years old, and was reportedly "nervous" about the spontaneous cut. Still, both he and Ronan were ultimately pleased with the result! "I think she just looks gorgeous and it's beautiful and she's in Gucci and it just feels cool and it feels young and it feels fun," Abergel said. "It's like, I don't know -- it just feels modern for the Oscars".
