During the 1990s, both Salma Hayek and Edward Norton were positioning themselves as Hollywood favorites. By the end of the decade, Salma had broken through via Robert Rodríguez's film From Dusk Till Dawn and Edward was at the peak of his career after starring in American History X and Fight Club.
Salma Hayek And Edward Norton's Relationship
In 1999, after allegedly being introduced to each other by their chiropractor, the up-and-coming stars began a fairly low-key relationship that lasted four years. The couple even worked together during the filming of Frida, for which Hayek earned an Oscar nomination and Norton served as a producer.
Despite the fact that both were under the media spotlight, the pair managed to successfully keep their relationship private to such a degree that very little is known about their time together and only a few photos are available of them together on the red carpet.
Salma told The Independent: "We did thousands of things and nobody knows. Most of what is written about me isn't true. I would get more angry if I picked up the paper and thought 'Oh My God, how did they find out?' No, it's almost like I have a parallel life that no one knows about."
The couple sadly separated in 2003 without any official announcement. Both ended up meeting their eventual partners. Salma married François-Henri Pinault in 2009 and Norton married producer Shauna Robertson in 2012. Even though they both ended up with their soulmates, there is no denying that the pair made a beautiful couple.
