Law & Order: SVU star Ned Eisenberg passed away last week at the age of 65. Sadly, his wife Patricia told TMZ that Ned died of cancer. SVU actress Mariska Hargitay now dedicates a touching Instagram post to her series co-star.
Mariska Hargitay: "What a light and what a love"
On the tragic news, Mariska Hargitay writes: "My heart is so full of sadness over the loss of our dear, dear Ned Eisenberg. What a light and what a love. And such a first-rate actor, which pales next to him as a first-rate human.
"We will remember him always with his bright, mischievous smile and his wide-open heart. We love and miss you, sweet Ned."
The actor is said to have battled cancer for two years. Meanwhile, he continued to work in show business, according to his wife.

"As Ned would say, he was attacked by two very rare assassins — cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma," his wife explained further. The two are rare forms of cancer.
Ned Eisenberg was on Law & Order: SVU from 1999 to 2019. He played the attorney "Roger Kressler."
He was also known for roles on Mare of Easttown, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and the original Law & Order. Eisenberg passed away on Feb. 27.
