It's a sad fact that this past August we've had to say goodbye to a number of stars! On August 1, the world had to say goodbye to "Pee-wee Herman" star Paul Reubens. According to the management, he died after years of fighting cancer. Also at the beginning of the month, vegan influencer Zhanna Samsonova died at the age of 39 years. Her diet consisted mainly of fruits, sunflower sprouts, smoothies and juices. An official cause of death is not known.

These celebs have broken our hearts this month

In mid-August, the death of Broadway star Chris Peluso was announced online. The actor, who was on stage for productions like 'Mamma Mia' among others, was only 38 years old. Again, no cause of death was confirmed for his untimely death.

Italian singer Toto Cutugno has also passed away. He was 80 years old. Cutugno became internationally known in the eighties and nineties and won the Eurovision Song Contest for Italy in 1990.
