Coronavirus: Justin Trudeau prompts Ryan Reynolds to spread the word
Reynolds poked fun at the trend of celebrity social distancing messages in his video - which itself was a response to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's challenge to spread the word about social distancing and health-conscious behaviour in Canada.
"I think in times of crisis, we all know that it’s the celebrities that we count on most. They’re the ones who are going to get us through this," he joked in the Twitter video.
"Right after health care workers, of course, first responders, people who work in essential services, ping-pong players. Mannequins? They're great. Childhood imaginary friends? Like 400 other types of people?"

Reynolds is known for roles in The Green Lantern, Buried, and Deadpool. He and his wife, actress Blake Lively, have three children together. The married couple earlier donated $1 million to Food Banks Canada and Feeding America to assist during the coronavirus pandemic.
Reynolds's Twitter video also concluded on a serious note. "Look, stay at home. Practice social distancing. Wash your hands. We are gonna get through this thing... together," he said. The Canadian actor then challenged Seth Rogen and Steven Page to spread the word. The videos are grouped under the hashtag #PlankTheCurve.
