While at a fundraising event for Prostate Project in Surrey on Sunday, Stewart announced that he had been fighting prostate cancer for three years.

"I’m in the clear now, simply because I caught it early" said Stewart.

Rod Stewart Catches Prostate Cancer Early

Clarifying the importance of men getting their prostates checked regularly, Stewart said: "Guys, you’ve got to really go to the doctor. Finger up the bum, no harm done."

Stewart continued: "If you’re positive, and you work through it and you keep a smile on your face (then you will get through it). I’ve worked for two years and I’ve just been happy, and the good Lord looked after me." We are so happy to hear that the singer is in the clear now and that he has opened up about his illness in the hopes of helping other men.
