Robert Pattinson doesn't quite get where his appeal comes from! In a new interview with Allure, he shared that he finds it strange how he's considered to be attractive by Hollywood. "It's weird," Pattinson admitted. "I never was really up for the good-looking-guy roles, because I've always been quite awkward when meeting people. My Harry Potter role was a good-looking guy, and it was a shock that it was quite easy to get".

Pattinson on Twilight audition: "I looked like a baby with a wig on"
Pattinson revealed that it was especially bizarre for him to be cast as "Edward Cullen" in Twilight, who he says is meant to be "beautiful, beautiful, beautiful". That's because according to him, he didn't exactly fit the conventional idea of handsome during his audition for the film!

"When I turned up for the audition, I had done a job where I'd dyed my hair black, but I had an inch and a half of roots, and I had waxed my body," Pattinson shares. "And then I had a few months where I'd been drinking beer all day, so I had this hairless, chubby body. I looked like a baby with a wig on.”
Pattinson on his newfound status as "handsome" post-Twilight
Pattinson mentions that once Twilight was released, that's when things really changed for him in regards to how his appearance was perceived. "After I did Twilight, [my friends said,] ‘Oh, you’re posing all of the time,’ and I’m like, ‘What are you talking about? I’m just standing," he recounted. "And none of you thought I was good-looking two years ago!’"
