Rihanna Performs at Indian Billionaire's Son's Pre-Wedding Bash

Rihanna performed in Jamnagar, India, on Friday as part of the pre-wedding events for Anant Ambani, the son of Mukesh Ambani, the wealthiest man in Asia. The three-day celebration took place four months before Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's scheduled July wedding.

The Ambani dynasty is renowned for hosting extravagant wedding celebrations. In 2018, when Mukesh's daughter Isha got married, Beyoncé performed at the ceremony. Similarly, in 2019, when Mukesh's eldest son Akash got married, Coldplay's Chris Martin and the Chainsmokers provided the entertainment.

The Ambani family owns Antila, a $1 billion, 27-storey private apartment building in Mumbai, India. It features three helipads, a 160-car garage, a private movie theatre, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. Recently, Disney struck an $8.5bn deal to merge its India business with Ambani's Reliance Industries, creating a new media giant.

Anant is the youngest child of Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries. The company has interests in telecom, oil and gas, retail, and financial services. Forbes estimates his father's net worth to be around $116 billion.

Rihanna rocked the stage at Mukesh Ambani's son's pre-wedding bash in India, marking her first live performance since the 2023 Super Bowl. Videos of her singing popular hits like "Stay," "Umbrella," "Diamonds," and "Work" went viral online. Rihanna was reportedly paid up to $6 million for her show.

The show also included live renditions of the songs "We Found Love," "Rude Boy," and "All Of The Lights," and ended with the whole Ambani family joining Rihanna onstage."I'm here tonight in honor of Anant and Radhika. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations," she said to the couple, 'The National' reported.

In an online video, Rihanna was spotted dancing with actress Janhvi Kapoor, both of them smiling as they enjoyed the music together. Another video captured Rihanna singing and dancing to Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA” in front of a DJ booth.

As per 'The Associated Press', the guest list comprised nearly 1,200 individuals, featuring personalities like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Hillary Clinton, Akon, Ivanka Trump, and members of Bhutan's royal family.

During the show, Rihanna gave a shout-out to the groom-to-be and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, before singing “We Found Love.” But the singer wasn’t just there to perform. Later, she changed into a more casual outfit and mingled with guests at an afterparty.
