Ricky Martin has shared that he's received performance critiques in his very own home! As People shares, Martin recently opened up about what his kids have said about his singing and dancing, revealing that they can be pretty judgemental at times!
Martin says he's appreciative of his kids' feedback
Martin and his husband Jwan Yosef have four kids together— 11-year-old twins Valentino and Matteo, as well as 2-year-old daughter Lucia and 1-year-old son Renn. "They're critics," Martin told Access's Mario Lopez of his children. "They tell me, 'Dad, yesterday was better than today. What's going on with your singing?' They are very honest, and I appreciate it."
"[They say], 'I like the dance that you did yesterday. Today was a little bit weak, Dad,'" he continued. "This is what's happening in this house." In October, Martin also revealed to Extra that his kids have already expressed their own career ambitions! "Matteo is more into the arts and Valentino is gonna spend his life in front of a screen because he wants to be the best YouTuber in the world," he explained.
Martin admits he's surprised by his kids' knowledge
Martin also talked about how his sons are wise beyond their years, often surprising him with their queries! "My twins are 11 and they're making questions I was not making when I was 11," he told People. "I'm like, 'Where are you coming from? Where is that coming from?' They're super exposed to so much info now."
Earlier this summer, Martin shared a new family photo of himself, Yosef, and their kids. And as People mentions, the Latin singer can also be seen in the upcoming Netflix holiday film, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Story! Hopefully his kids' critique of their dad's performance in the movie is a favourable one!
