August 8th marked the 9th anniversary of Robin Williams' death. A man who was perhaps larger than life itself, Robin Williams was best known as an actor for his role as the English teacher "John Keating" in the classic film 'Dead Poets Society'. It was the role that showed the world that Williams had serious dramatic chops as an actor.
There will never be another like Robin
In the Academy Award-nominated film, "Keating's" students honor their teacher at the end of the film by climbing onto their desks and chanting the famous words, "O Captain! My Captain!”. A phrase and a role that 25 years later took on a special meaning again.
