Angela Lansbury became a film star in the 1940s, and she actually got married twice that decade. She was briefly with actor Richard Cromwell, but it was in the summer of 1949 that she tied the knot with Peter Shaw. Here they are on the big day:
Angela, then 23 years old, married Peter on Aug. 12, 1949. According to United Archives, Lansbury wore a "white doeskin and satin" wedding gown designed by Calve of California.
They were married in London at St. Columba's Church, actually part of the Church of Scotland. The wedding reception was at the Normandie Hotel, also in London.
