Regina King Mourns The Loss Of Her Son - He Died At The Age Of 26

Regina King (51) is in great mourning. Her son Ian Alexander Jr. died shortly after his 26th birthday.

Regina King told the magazine People: "Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you."

Her son, who worked as a DJ, is said to have died by suicide, according to People. Just a few days earlier he celebrated his 26th birthday. The music star was the only child from Regina King's marriage to music producer Ian Alexander Sr.
