Reese Witherspoon isn't afraid to brag a little about her new celebrity BFF! During her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, she shared that she's developed a close bond with none other than Beyoncé. The friendship came up in conversation when Witherspoon recounted her night at the 2020 Golden Globes, where she happened to ask Beyoncé and JAY-Z for some champagne.

"Well, I just noticed that they were having champagne and we had, um, run out of water at our table," explained Witherspoon. "So I was thirsty and so was [Jennifer] Aniston, who was sitting next to me. And I was like, 'Well, JAY-Z seems to have a giant bottle of champagne'". Not only did JAY-Z offer her the champagne at the Golden Globes... as Witherspoon shares, he then ended up sending her an entire case of it!

Witherspoon and Ellen DeGeneres both had stories about Beyoncé to share, which resulted in the two stars going back and forth in a humorous competition of sorts to see who's better friends with her. Trying to get the upper hand, Witherspoon recounted the time that Beyoncé had sent her clothes from her clothing collection, Adidas x Ivy Park.

"And then I was like, 'I think Ellen might like these,' and then she sent them to you," Witherspoon shared. "Because Beyoncé and I are really good friends. I mean, really, really good friends".
