Rebel Wilson has opened up about the impact her amazing weight loss journey has had on her life! As People shares, the actress appeared on Australian radio show The Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed and Erin on Wednesday, and discussed how things have changed for her now that she's gotten in shape.
Wilson says it's "really interesting" how she's treated
Wilson told the show's hosts that she wasn't lacking confidence in her body before she underwent her weight loss transformation. "It's interesting. I liked to think I looked good at all sizes and stuff," the actress shared. "And I've always been quite confident, so it's not like I wasn't confident and now I'm super confident."
However, she said she's seen a double standard when it comes to how others act towards her now compared to before her weight loss. "I think what's been really interesting is how other people treat you," Wilson said. "Sometimes being bigger, people didn't necessarily look twice at you. Now that I'm in good shape, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you."
Wilson is surprised about people's interest in her weight
Wilson then said how after being on the receiving end of that kind of treatment, she found herself questioning if it was normal. "Is this what other people experienced all the time?" the actress asked. She also mentioned that she found it "interesting that people pay so much attention to a weight loss transformation when there's so much going on in the world."
Last January, Wilson shared that 2020 would be her "Year of Health," frequently updating her fans on her fitness progress through posting photos and videos of her journey. The actress mentioned in May that her target weight was 165 pounds, and at the end of November, she celebrated reaching that goal!
