An insider revealed the reasons for the break-up to 'The Sun': "Rami and Lucy split earlier this year without much fanfare,” the source said. "They were together for a long time but had grown apart. They are both moving on with their lives and are busy with work."
In August 2023, rumors of a new romance between Malek and Emma Corrin were reported after they were spotted together at a Bruce Springsteen concert. "Rami has surrounded himself with his mates and has spent the summer enjoying himself," added the insider. The two are said to still be a couple.

Lucy Boynton, who has since appeared in the Warner Bros. box office hit 'Barbie', is also focusing on her work. Her portrayal of "Proust Barbie" was praised by critics but cut from the movie because the test audience didn't understand the joke.
Malek himself had described his ex Lucy Boynton in his acceptance speech at the 2019 Oscars saying: "You have been my ally, my confidant, my love." An insider revealed at the time that Malek was "Head over heels" in love with Boynton and found great inspiration in her.
