- Aarti Mann played "Raj's" sister on The Big Bang Theory
- She is a successful actress
- Find out what "Priya" is doing now
We were first introduced to "Priya Koothrappali" in season four of The Big Bang Theory when "Priya" stops to visit the boys on a trip through California. We learn that years ago "Howard" and "Leonard" had made a pact to not hit on her, although it seems "Leonard" was not able to follow through, not just once, but multiple times!
A strong and independent woman "Priya" continuously turns down "Leonard's" interest in a serious relationship until she decides to use it to her advantage and becomes very controlling of "Leonard". This makes "Penny" openly despise her and stirs up some drama among the gang!
While she may have created the drama, we cannot help but love "Priya" for her strong personality and we love actress Aarti Mann even more!
Aarti Mann as "Priya"
Aarti Mann would play "Priya" on and off again over the years with major appearances in seasons four and five. While Aarti proved herself a talented actress, as the daughter of immigrant parents and both doctors, Aarti didn't take an interest in acting until university!
Also Interesting:
After becoming inspired by her older filmmaker sister, Aarti's first role was in her sister's 2006 film The Memsahib which would lead to follow up roles in further short films and TV series Hereos before Aarti landed the role of "Priya" in 2010.
Aarti Mann Today
Aarti Mann has continued to stay busy after The Big Bang Theory with appearances in popular legal drama Suits and 2018 film Love Sonia, and most recently as "Jaya Kuyavar" in hit Netflix series Never Have I Ever.
Much like her onscreen character "Priya", Aarti tends to keep her private life very secret. However, we do know she has been happily married to her husband, financial specialist Purvesh Mankad for years, and the couple has a daughter, Nikita , together.
Talent must run in the family as Nikita is on her way to becoming a talented journalist and in 2019 became one of the youngest members of the Anneberg Youth Academy! Mom and dad must be proud! Make sure to catch up with the rest of The Big Bang Theory cast here!
