As "Charles Ingalls", Michael Landon embodied the perfect family father in 'Little House on the Prairie'. But was the popular actor also a good father away from the cameras? His daughter Jennifer Landon revealed the answer in an interview with 'Closer Weekly'.

In the interview, she spoke openly about her relationship with her late father. Although he was a successful and busy actor, reportedly Michael Landon was always there for his children and paid them a lot of attention.
“He’d watch me jump around the pool for an hour straight. I think he genuinely enjoyed it. I felt admired by him — which is an amazing feeling to have as a child,” Jennifer says.
While Michael Landon was a doting father, he also instilled good values and discipline in his children. "There was a tremendous amount of respect and discipline that was implemented in our house, but my dad always made things so fun, too,” Jennifer continues to tell 'Closer Weekly'.
Michael Landon had nine children with three different wives, and wanted to endure they all had a good upbringing. According to Jennifer, he inspired strength and confidence in his kids.
“I always had this feeling that even if I was afraid of something that I would do it because I wanted my father’s respect,” she says.
