Laura San Giacomo played Julia Roberts's friend "Kit" in Pretty Woman. "Kit" introduced "Vivian" (Julia Roberts) to the world of prostitution and gave her all the valuable advice she could think of. The two young women also lived together. Laura San Giacomo gave a fantastic performance, and a very authentic one, as "Kit De Luca" and her cheeky comments still have cult status today.
Laura appeared in numerous films and TV series after Pretty Woman. She played the main role in the TV show Just Shoot Mel from 1997 to 2003 and was nominated for a Golden Globe and a Satellite Award for her performance. After the series finished she had various guest appearances.
In 2007, she was cast as "Rhetta Rodriguez" in Saving Grace, and played the character for 47 episodes. She appeared in several NCIS episodes from 2016 to 2017. Most recently in 2020, you can watch Laura in the short film Lina.
Laura San Giacomo lives with her second husband Matt Adler and her son in Los Angeles.
