Born on February 18, 1968, Molly Ringwald was an idol for many teenagers across the globe. The daughter of blind Jazz pianist Robert Scott Ringwald and his wife Adele, she began her career when she was just five years old starring as "Alice" in Alice in Wonderland in a local stage production. A year later, she recorded a Dixieland Jazz album with her father and his band.

She is perhaps best known for her roles in Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), and Pretty in Pink (1986), all of which were directed by John Hughes (†2009) and deal with the trials and tribulations of upper-middle-class high school life.
Molly has also always stayed true to her beginnings and has even starred in productions on Broadway.

Molly has been happily married to her second husband Panio Gianopoulos since 2007 and they have three children. Their daughter Matilda was born in 2003, and twins Adele and Roman followed in 2009.
