Helen McCrory passed away from breast cancer on April 16, 2021, at the age of just 52. Her husband Damian Lewis announced the tragic news on Twitter at the time.
He wrote: "The beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family." A sad fate: she left behind not only her husband but also their two children Manon and Gulliver.
