Patrick Duffy surprised fans when he revealed he's found love with actress Linda Purl! The former Dallas actor broke the news in November 2020, and fans couldn't contain their excitement over the relationship of the TV stars. In this gallery, we'll look at Duffy and Purl's pictures so far and break down everything you need to know about the relationship.

Fans of Patrick Duffy, Linda Purl, and yesteryear TV were met with quite the shock this month. On Nov. 5, Duffy announced that he and Purl had found love together. "I'm in an incredibly happy relationship," he told People magazine.

Linda Purl, meanwhile, is best known for playing "Ashley," the girlfriend of "Fonzie" (Henry Winkler) in season 10 of Happy Days. The actress later became known for work on Matlock and as the mother of "Pam" (Jenna Fischer) on The Office.

Followers of Duffy's career knew that he was married to his longtime wife, Carlyn Rosser, dating back to 1974. Heartbreakingly, their marriage of over 40 years came to an end when Carlyn passed away in 2017. 

On the six-month anniversary of his wife's passing, Duffy wrote on Twitter: "On this day 6 months ago my heart stopped yet I live on as she wishes we will be together eternally."

The loss hit Duffy hard. So much so that he was caught off guard by his new bond with Purl. In his reveal with People, he said of his new relationship: "I never thought for a minute this would happen again. I never thought I'd feel this way again."

For her part, Purl enters the relationship with Duffy after previously being married four times. She was married to Desi Arnaz Jr., William Broyles Jr., Alexander Cary (pictured here), and, most recently, James Vinson Adams. Purl and Adams wedded in 2006 and divorced at an unknown time.

As for the big reveal... Duffy told People that the actors were friends years ago and they only recently reconnected in a group chat during the pandemic. After hitting it off once again, they realized they might have something.

Duffy said: "I loaded up my car and drove 20 hours and ended up on her doorstep just to see if it was real. We haven't been apart since." Though the reveal was published on Nov. 5, Purl had been quietly sharing occasional Instagram posts with Duffy dating back to August (pictured here).

Today, Purl is 65 years old, and has one son from her third marriage, to Alexander Cary, Master of Falkland. On Instagram, she's said she is "grateful" for Duffy, whom she calls a "beautiful soul."

Duffy, meanwhile, is now 71 years old. With his late wife Carlyn, he's a father to two sons, Padriac and Conor (pictured here).
