Sharon and Ozzy first met in 1970 when her father, Don Arden, was managing Ozzy's band, Black Sabbath. Nine years later, Arden fired Ozzy from the band, and Sharon stepped in as his manager. It was during this time that they began dating.

Grammy winner Ozzy, who has struggled with substance abuse problems, was arrested for attempted murder in 1989 after attacking Sharon while under the influence of drugs. Despite the severity of the incident, Sharon did not end their marriage, and Ozzy spent six months in medical detention as a result.

'The Osbournes', Ozzy and Sharon's MTV reality show featuring Jack and Kelly, premiered in March 2002. The show was extremely popular and well-received, although Aimee chose not to participate. It ran for four seasons and ended in March 2005.

In May 2016, the couple, who had been married for 33 years, split amid rumors that Ozzy had been having an affair with his stylist, Michelle Pugh. At the time, Sharon spoke about the situation on 'The Talk', saying, "Honestly, right now, today, I have no idea what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. I don't know where I'm going, who I'm going with. And I just need time to think, and really think about myself, what I really want for... In July 2016, it was reported that Sharon and Ozzy had reconciled, with a source telling Us that "they're back in love" and crediting couples therapy for saving their marriage. Ozzy confirmed the news during a Good Morning America appearance later that month, stating that the couple was "on the right track." However, in August 2016, Ozzy made a statement to 'Us' admitting to cheating on Sharon with multiple women and revealing that he had been struggling with sex addiction for the previous six years.

In September 2021, Sharon reflected on the previously "volatile" nature of her relationship with Ozzy, saying to the 'Daily Mail', "Our fights were legendary. We would beat the crap out of each other. It stopped about 20 years ago, but we had a good run.

The couple celebrated 40 years of marriage on July 4 at 2022. "2022 is a special year for me. It marks 40 years of marriage to my beloved Ozzy. We first met when I was 18, for over 52 years we have been friends, lovers, spouses, grandparents and soul mates," Sharon wrote via Instagram. "Always by each other's side.
