Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne was born on December 3, 1948 in a working family in England. From a very young age he proved to be a rebel without a cause and at the age of 15 he left school to work. This freedom got him into a lot of trouble and he was even imprisoned for 6 weeks for robbery in Winson Green prison.

In 1967, Ozzy joined his first band, Rare Breed, as vocalist. However, the band broke up after playing only two shows. Soon after, he formed the band Earth, which would soon become Black Sabbath. His dark and defiant style was enough for a label to record his debut album 'Black Sabbath' which was surprisingly well received by the public.

In the early days of the band, Ozzy met Sharon who would become his forever partner. Sharon was the daughter of Don Arden, Black Sabbath's manager. Although there was an instant connection, in the beginning their relationship was strictly professional, as Sharon worked as her father's secretary.

Although the band and Ozzy as vocalist enjoyed a lot of fame among their fans, it was not until 1973 when the critics finally had positive comments towards Black Sabbath with the release of their fifth album, 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath'. This gave them a big international breakthrough.

During this time Ozzy moved to Los Angeles where he continued a self-destructive pattern. Don, Arden, sent his daughter Sharon to take care of Ozzy and convince him to pursue his musical career. It was in the early 80's when he debuted his own band Blizzard of Ozz.

Sadly, after two years of postponing his 'No More Tours II' tour, Ozzy Osbourne announced in early 2023, that the tour would officially be cancelled, as he has been suffering from an accident he had in 2019 that left him with a bad spine.

Ozzy Osbourne is an icon of music, especially metal and rock. With a career spanning more than five decades, Ozzy Osbourne is definitely a living legend and much loved by his audience.

This is how Ozzy Osbourne's transformation has been impressive

The musician still loves music and although for health reasons he has had to cancel his tour, his rebellious and somewhat irreverent spirit is still more alive than ever.
