Olivia Colman and Ed Sinclair have been married for 21 years. They met while in Cambridge, where Olivia spent some time before transferring to study drama. Ed was a law student (although he changed majors to something more creative) and Olivia was studying drama (she graduated from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1999). They started as friends and when they reached their 20s, a romance blossomed.
Olivia Colman: It was love at first sight
The change in relationship came about when the pair of them starred in a university production of Alan Ayckborn's Table Manners at the Footlights Dramatics Club at Cambridge University. Olivia however, recalls that for her, it was love at first sight with Ed. She told The Telegraph in 2012 that she thought, "I'm going to marry him" as soon as she laid eyes on him. "A bit weird I know, but yes. He was gorgeous, the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. I stuck with him and made him realise he could only be happy with me," the actress confessed.
