Nicola Coughlan isn't interested in hearing what people think of her looks! On Sunday, the star of Bridgerton and Derry Girls took to Instagram with a post addressing the negative comments she has received about her image in a kind yet direct way.
Coughlan urges people to stop commenting on her body
Coughlan began her Instagram post with a strong message to her followers. "So just a thing," she stated, "if you have an opinion about my body please, please don’t share it with me." She acknowledged that while people generally mean well with their comments, the criticism can be a lot for her to take.
The actress reminded her followers that she's "just one real life human being" and it's "really hard to take the weight of thousands of opinions" she receives in regards to her looks. While she acknowledged that being in the public eye will lead to discussion of her appearance, she urged her followers "not to send it to me directly."

However, Coughlan seems to be confident in her own appearance, and also used the post to highlight a physical feature she feels good about! She posted a photo of her wearing a floral dress with a ruffled collar as she looks into the mirror, holding up a phone case with her initials on it. The star said she was "delighted" by how her hair looks in the selfie, which she mentioned she took before Saturday Night Live.
