If you've seen Netflix's docuseries about the intense training and young personalities of Navarro Texas Cheer squad, it's guaranteed you will remember the flamboyant fan favourite, Jerry Harris.
This past week, Cheer gained some more headlines, but this time not in a good way! Harris, 21, was arrested on federal charges over child pornography.
Jerry Harris shocks the world with arrest
Jerry Harris was quick to warm the hearts of those who watched Netflix's docuseries, Cheer. However, this Thursday all of that changed after it was confirmed Harris was in possession of child pornography.
A statement was released to the press from the United States federal government, stating Harris was "allegedly enticing an underage boy to produce sexually explicit videos and photos of himself," according to People.
According to the statement, Harris "contacted the underage boy on a social media application and repeatedly enticed him to produce sexually explicit videos and photographs of himself and send them to Harris."
The minor did inform Harris that he was only 13 years old. Later, the boy's mother filed a criminal complaint after a cheer competition in Chicago, in which Harris approached the young man in a bathroom and solicited him for oral sex.
The complaint also alleges Harris used Snapchat to solicit pictures from "at least 10 to 15 other underage boys," which Harris reportedly admitted to FBI agents.
Two other twin boys have come forward saying Harris sexually assaulted them at another competition, and demanded nude photographs back in 2018 when the boys were only 13.
Harris is set to face a judge today and could face between 15 and 30 years in prison if found guilty.
