Many TV fans know actress Cybill Shepherd (69) from her role in the series Moonlighting. But that was more than 30 years ago. Let's take a look at the impressive career of the Hollywood beauty.
Cybill Shepherd: Her breakthrough alongside Bruce Willis
Moonlighting was on the air from 1985 until 1989 and it saw Cybill Shepherd take on the role of the private detective "Madelyn 'Maddie' Hayes", who worked as a model before she started hunting down criminals.
She was assisted by detective "David Addison" who was portrayed by a then fairly unknown Bruce Willis (63). However, it was not only Bruce Willis, one of the most famous action stars then and now, who managed to have a successful career after the series - Cybill also worked on many other projects.
Cybill Shepherd's impressive career
In 1995, Cybill Shepherd got her own TV series Cybill, in which she played an actress in her forties who only gets mediocre job offers.
But in real life, this was by no means the case for Cybill, who was nominated for an Emmy Award several times and won three Golden Globes.

Later on, she was able to secure roles in popular TV shows like The L Word and The Client List. She also appeared in many films, including The Muse (1999).
Her most recent appearance in front of the camera was in 2017 as "Rose" in the film of the same name.
But Cybill is not only a talented actress, she is also a passionate singer and has released several albums. With her autobiography Cybill Disobedience, she also tried her hand as an author.
Cybill Shepherd: She struggled in her private life
Unfortunately, her private life did not always run as smoothly as her career. Cybill has been married twice. Her first marriage was to car salesman and nightclub owner David M. Ford (1978-1982) and then she was married to chiropractor Bruce Oppenheim from 1987 to 1990.
With Ford, she has a daughter, Clementine (born in 1979), and with Oppenheim she has twins Cyrus Zachariah and Molly Ariel, who were born in 1987.
But she has apparently not given up her faith in marriage - in 2012 Cybill Shepherd, got engaged to her boyfriend Andrei Nikolajevic, however the relationship ended in 2015.
