Miguel Herrán was born April 25th, 1993 in the gorgeous city of Malaga, Spain. He did not like school and he dreamed of being a car mechanic until a random encounter with Spanish director Daniel Guzman in Madrid. Coincidentally, Miguel and his friends looked just like what Daniel was looking for in his movie A Cambio de Nada, and Miguel was cast then and there.
Miguel actually won the Goya Award for Best New Actor for his role as "Darío" in Daniel Guzman's 2015 film. He had a few more roles in Spanish films before he landed the ultimate role of "Rio" in the smash Netflix hit Money Heist, otherwise known as La Casa de Papel. The show has become so incredibly successful it is actually the most-watched non-English series on Netflix and even won an Emmy award for Best Drama Series!
