Miss Uruguay dies of cancer at 26
Sherika de Armas (26) sadly passed away on October 11. Her brother Mayk' confirmed the news on Instagram with the words: "Fly high, little sister. Forever and ever".
Sherika was a successful model, and was elected Miss Uruguay and represented her home country at the Miss World pageants in 2015 at the age of just 18.
The model and pageant queen was reportedly diagnosed with cervical cancer two years ago, according to local media.
