Mike Fisher admits that he and his wife Carrie Underwood haven't had the easiest journey of becoming parents! As People reports, a promotional trailer for the couple's new series Mike and Carrie: God & Country sees them talking about life with sons Jacob Bryan and Isaiah Michael. Fisher also opens up about the fact that before Jacob was successfully conceived, Underwood experienced several miscarriages.
"She's like, 'I lost the baby.' And I was like, 'Again?'" shared Fisher. "You have all these mountaintops, but we hadn't had a ton of valleys like this." Underwood turned to her faith as a way to express her feelings about the situation. "I just had an honest conversation with God," she said. "I was hurt. I told him how I felt."

Underwood admits to being skeptical about motherhood at first
Fisher revealed that he'd "always wanted lots of kids" in the trailer, while Underwood said that she wasn't so sure that she was cut out for being a mom. "I was never good with other people's kids. Why would I be good with one of my own?" she shared with a laugh.
However, things changed when the couple welcomed their first child Isaiah in 2015. "I went with Isaiah after he'd just been born and I was just emotional as could be," Fisher said. Underwood was immediately taken with her new bundle of joy! "I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm in love,'" she admitted.
As People mentions, Underwood had previously revealed that she had three miscarriages within two years before Isaiah was born. Now that the couple's second son is here though, he has quite the expressive personality according to his mom! "[Isaiah] says things like, 'My new song drops Friday' and I'm like, 'Don't ... don't say drops,'" Underwood jokes in the trailer.
