Fassbender had to give up the prestigious 24-hour race after a crash. The actor and passionate amateur race car driver had crashed into a barrier with his Porsche 911. Footage shows the 46-year-old star lose control on a corner and crash sideways into the gang. Car parts flew through the air before the car came to a stop.
Michael Fassbender crashed at full speed
Fassbender was able to drive the car back to the pits, but it could no longer be repaired. "We are shocked," tweeted the Proton Competition team after Fassbender's withdrawal from the race.
