Michael B. Jordan has opened up about his hopes and dreams for life after 2020! The actor known for Black Panther, Creed, and more opened up to People— who recently dubbed him this year's "Sexiest Man Alive"— in a new interview, where he explained what he wants to be able to do in the near future.
Jordan wants to work behind-the-scenes and have a family
Jordan was asked what he'd like to see happen over the next few years, and revealed his career ambitions are leaning more towards the behind-the-scenes side of things! He said that ideally, he hopes "to be directing a little more, acting less [and] producing a lot more."
He also shared what his hopes are for his personal life! "Just growing, whatever the next evolution of me is," the actor told People. "Hopefully, [I'll have] a family by then, I’m going to throw that in the universe. I want to make an impact all over the world and not just through the roles that I play."
Jordan reflects on 2020 with gratitude in Instagram post
Jordan also took to social media to talk about how he feels looking back on the ups and downs of 2020. "This year has really done a number on our lives," he said in his Instagram post. "It’s given us the opportunity to reflect & be more thankful and appreciative of everything."
Sharing a highlight reel of sorts that features clips and photos of some of the memorable moments in his life that happened over the year, Jordan also gave a shoutout to the people he's closest to. "My fam..my..friends..the acknowledgements & the support do not go unnoticed!" the actor concluded. "Sending love & light."
Jordan has also advocated for the Black Lives Matter movement, attending a protest in Hollywood back in June and speaking out about the importance of hiring Black creatives. This summer, he also launched a multicultural series of drive-in film screenings this summer called A Night at the Drive-In! Here's hoping that the actor is able to make his dreams for the near future come true!
