Melanie Griffith has beaten skin cancer once again
“Bandaged again after having dermabrasion, the final step to fix the now removed basil cell skin cancer,” Griffith wrote under her recent selfie. The actress had already been diagnosed with skin cancer once before in 2009, but, luckily, the malignant cells were successfully removed. In September 2017, the terrible disease returned. Melanie Griffith has been in treatment for past eleven months and can now finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Over the course of eleven months, and using a variety of treatments, the basal cell carcinoma was removed from her nose. The actress, who is known for her love for plastic surgery, was worried that the various procedures would leave scars, including a black spot on her nose.
“It’s a scary thing when you’re an actress and you depend on your face for work. But I realize I have to put a Band-Aid on it, and it’s fine. I just look like a dork,” Melanie Griffith told Instyle.
