Megan Thee Stallion embraces womanhood

Musician Megan Thee Stallion is embracing her womanhood and feeling the souls of countless other inspiring Black women. While opening up about the Black Lives Matter movement that has gripped the world, the singer is revealing how proud she is to be a Black woman.

Talking to NMEthe musician is describing the current global protests and Black Lives Matter movement as the sequel to the Civil Rights movement.

"Sometimes being a public figure, you don’t wanna say the wrong thing because you don’t want to be insensitive to people or get too opinionated," she said of her activism.

"I don’t speak on things that I don’t know about, and I won’t speak on things I don’t believe in," she added.

"Let me tell you, Black women are strong… We can be going through whatever and still put on a good face," she said.

"I know there were times that my mother might have been going through things but I never knew, because she wanted me to feel safe and okay," she continued.

Along with finishing her education, Megan is also dedicated to helping others and is working towards creating various projects that would give scholarships to deserving women in underprivileged areas.

"I'm really working on my dynasty right now," she says.
