Mariah Carey is officially ready for Christmas now that Halloween has passed! As Entertainment Tonight shares, Carey shared a fun new video on Instagram that sees her excitement for the holiday season on full display!
Carey finds herself in a festive winter wonderland
Carey's video starts off with a person wearing a creepy mask, dark clothing, and gloves opening a door while sinister music plays. After passing by various spooky Halloween decorations, the music suddenly changes to the opening notes of Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You". After a second door is opened, a very different holiday-themed scene is revealed!
"It's time," Carey says in a singsong voice, wearing a festive onesie as she and her dogs sit in a room filled with fake snow and Christmas trees. The singer then lets out a joyful scream as her iconic holiday tune plays in the background, showing that she couldn't be more excited Christmas is soon! "It's time," the video then reads. "(But let's get through Thanksgiving first)"
Carey to possibly have new Christmas project in the works
Carey's iconic song "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has become a staple of the holiday season, increasing in popularity over the years despite being voted the most annoying Christmas song in 2019! As Entertainment Tonight mentions, Carey also suggested last month that she could be working on some kind of new Christmas project, which undoubtedly has fans excited!
And while her festive joy comes over a month in advance of the holiday itself, Carey certainly isn't the only celebrity who's ready to jump into Christmas! Carly Rae Jepsen and the Jonas Brothers both recently released new Christmas songs— "It's Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries" and "I Need You Christmas".
