Dominic Cooper was born June 2nd, 1978 in London to a talented family. His grandfather was actually the founder of The Kinematograph Weekly, a newspaper for folks in the film industry!

He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art for acting and film editing and almost immediately after graduating in 2001 he began landing roles. He performed alongside good friend and eventual roommate Late Night Host James Corden in the stage version and film adaptation The History Boys and in many smaller television and stage roles.

Eventually, he appeared as "Sophie's" fiancé "Sky" in the smash-hit film adaptation of the musical Mamma Mia! After that, he continued scoring starring roles in countless stage, film, and television productions like The Duchess, My Week With Marylin, Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond, and the World of Warcraft film adaptation!

Dominic has earned a cult following with his starring role as "Jesse Custer" in the hit DC series Preacher.

For a few years, he actually dated his Mamma Mia! co-star Amanda Seyfried and later his Preacher co-star Ruth Negga and is now officially dating Crazy Rich Asians star Gemma Chan. He continues to work and will reprise his role of "Howard Stark" for the Marvel series What If...?

The kind soul has been working hard to raise funds for healthcare workers during the Coronavirus pandemic. What a guy. Fun fact: Dominic actually introduced his former roommate James Corden to his wife and is Godfather to James Corden's child!
