Matt Bomer Today
The Boys in the Band takes place in 1968 New York City when being gay still wasn't widely accepted by society. While Matt's character "Donald" struggles with the conformities of the 1960s and 70s, Matt Bomer is a tad bit luckier in today's times. Matt has been out publicly since 2012 and has been happily married to his husband, publicist Simon Halls since 2011.
The couple is raising Hall's three sons conceived through surrogacy together and couldn't be happier! While LGBTQ+ rights still have a ways to go, Matt Bomer has helped to pave the way for future couples. We wish the now 47-year-old a happy birthday and are celebrating by rewatching Matt Bomer in Magic Mike!
