Lynda Carter was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 24th, 1951. In her early life, she had a relatively normal childhood. She started picking up singing and music and when she was in high school, she began doing gigs with a band to earn some extra money. At the age of 17, she left home and hit the road with a band called the "Garfin Gathering" and toured for quite some time.
Lynda Carter was crowned Miss World USA
She woke up one day and decided that she wanted to do more with her life, so she moved home and contacted a modeling agency. Within a month, she won Miss Phoenix, Miss Arizona, and Miss World USA in 1972. After taking the crown, she started auditioning for acting jobs. The Miss World USA title got her foot in the door, however, she realized that there weren't very many roles for women.

Lynda started making appearances on some TV shows like Starsky & Hutch and others before she landed the coveted role in the television series Wonder Woman. Her role as "Wonder Woman" lasted for three seasons from 1975 until 1979.

Lynda Carter has been very politically active in recent years as well as active in her music career. She has released her most recent album titled Red Rock N'Blues in 2018 which features her daughter singing on a couple of tracks with her. She was married to her husband Robert A. Altman from 1982 until he passed in 2021 and they have two children together, Jessica and James Altman.

Lynda received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018. She has been very supportive of Gal Gadot ("Wonder Woman" in 2017) and Patty Jenkins (director of the movie Wonder Woman which was released in 2017).
