Bradley Cooper got sober and conquered Hollywood
Fortunately, Bradley Cooper was able to overcome his addiction problems before he got his big break.
"I was so lost and I was addicted to cocaine," plus he had "zero self-esteem," he tells Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes in an interview on the Smartless podcast.
"I severed my Achilles tendon right after I got fired-slash-quit Alias," Cooper added. "I did have the benefit of that happening when I was 29. I thought I made it when I got a Wendy's commercial."

But his showbiz career really took off when he was hired for the hit movie The Hangover. "It wasn't really until The Hangover," Bradley said of his Hollywood breakthrough.
"I was 36 when I did The Hangover, so I got to go through all those things before fame even played into my existence on a daily level. So all that happened before any of that."
Bradley Cooper has now been sober for years and has helped fellow stars like Brad Pitt overcome their addiction problems.
