Dean Cain was born Dean George Tanaka on July 31, 1966, in Michigan. His mother is actress Sharon Thomas and his father, who adopted him when he and Sharon married, is film director Christopher Cain. Needless to say, Dean Cain was set up for acting success!

Cain took on the role of "Clark Kent/Superman" in 1993, which some still consider being his biggest role to date! He starred in the superhero series with the beautiful Teri Hatcher up until 1997 for four seasons. The show was incredibly successful, as it drew in an average of 15 million viewers per episode!
After the ending of the show, Cain appeared in a numerous amount of other TV shows, including Ripley's Believe It or Not!, The Division, Clubhouse, and Las Vegas, just to name a few!
Film-wise, he has appeared in well over thirty different movies, including at least 16 Christmas movies. None of us can really resist a good Hallmark holiday film, right?

As of 2020, Cain is still working on several movie projects which are set to be released this year, such as Baby Bulldog, The Man Who Went to Heaven, and R.I.A. Other forthcoming films include Trail Blazers (2021), The Greatest Coach of All Time, and Faith Under Fire.
Aside from his busy acting career, Cain also became a reserve police officer in the town of St. Anthony, Idaho in June 2018!
In his personal life, it doesn't appear he's dating anyone at the moment. He has one child that was born on June 11, 2000 (Christopher Dean Cain) with ex-girlfriend Playboy Playmate Samantha Torres.
We're sure we'll be seeing more of him in the classic Christmas films, too! For now, he's got quite a film line-up scheduled for the rest of the year!
